Classic Pea Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
  • 4 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 medium red onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, cubed small

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dressing: In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until well combined.
  2. Add the Ingredients: Add the thawed peas, crumbled bacon, diced red onion, and cubed cheddar cheese to the bowl with the dressing. Gently stir to coat everything evenly with the dressing.
  3. Chill and Serve: Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Optional Garnish: Before serving, you can garnish the salad with additional crispy bacon for extra flavor and crunch.
