Introduction
Cheddar cheese bread is the ultimate comfort food—a soft, savory loaf packed with the sharp flavor of cheddar. This versatile bread shines as a side with soups and stews, or it can be enjoyed as a standalone snack. Whether you prefer a quick bread or a yeast-based version, this recipe delivers a satisfying result every time.

Ingredients
2½ to 3½ cups all-purpose flour (adjust based on dough consistency)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 large egg
1½ cups milk or buttermilk (for added tanginess)
3–4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Optional: Garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, or other herbs for added flavor

Instructions
Preheat & Prepare:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a loaf pan and dust it lightly with flour.
Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and any optional seasonings (e.g., garlic powder or herbs).
Incorporate Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk (or buttermilk), egg, and melted butter.
Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
Add Cheese:

Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread tender and light.
Bake:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool:

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Enjoy the cheesy, flavorful goodness of this cheddar bread warm or toasted—it’s perfect for every occasion!
