Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 container coconut pecan frosting
  • ⅔ cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup pecans, finely chopped

For the Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, water, and coconut pecan frosting. Blend until the batter is smooth, then fold in the ½ cup of finely chopped pecans.
  2. Bake the Cake:
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour in the batter, spreading it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Make the Topping:

  4. Assemble and Serve:
Pour the warm pecan topping over the cake, spreading it evenly. Serve warm for an extra decadent treat.
